Velda Silenta Outdoor 6000
Silenta Professional air pumps guarantee a high air output. The low-noise motors have low power consumption and a long service life. These Silenta pumps are supplied complete with fiber-reinforced air hose and large air stones. These air pumps, specially manufactured for Velda, combine great air output with excellent quality and service life. The pumps are universally applicable and are widely used for aerating ponds, but are also very suitable for aquariums. The diameter of the hose connection is 8 mm. The Silenta Outdoor air pumps are supplied including a 'Giant' air stone and 5 m reinforced 8 mm air hose. Due to the high pressure, multiple air stones can be connected.
GENERAL
To achieve a good biological environment where fish and plants thrive, it is necessary for many garden ponds to aerate the water. Aeration provides oxygen and keeps the water moving, enabling optimal bacterial development and a proper balance in the pond.
SUMMER PERIOD
Especially in the summer, when the water temperature rises, oxygen deficiency often occurs. When fish come to the surface to 'gasp for air', this already indicates an oxygen shortage in the water. Water aeration can then provide a solution.
WINTER PERIOD
Fish mortality regularly occurs in winter when garden ponds freeze over. Especially in small and shallow ponds, there is a great danger that, after freezing, suffocation will occur. Aeration primarily provides oxygen, but also prevents the pond from completely freezing over.
